Born to a Kuwaiti father and Ukrainian mother, Hala Al-Awadhi is a journalist passionate about contemporary art, photography and travel.
She started taking up drawing in the year 2020 during the pandemic and ever since has worked on pen sketching and animating some of her work. Most of Hala's themes cover drawing mundane objects and cozy scenery, or anything she feels nostalgic about. Hala also enjoys other creative projects such as paper-making and dioramas. Her artwork can be found on her Instagram page @art.halo.
When it comes to Journalism, Hala writes in her web blog called The Pocket Girl (www.thepocketgirl.com) where she documents her travel accounts, thoughts, curiosities and experiences as well as societal topics and insights on various events.
