In this workshop with artist Nora, you will learn to make/fold your very own zine in a fun group activity.

What is a Zine?

The word 'zine' comes from the word magazine.

Zines are small circulation, self-published works created by a person (or small group) with a passion for a particular subject.

There are no limits on the variety and breadth of topics addressed in zines!

Tips on zines:

Zines have a DIY (do it yourself) look and approach. They are often created by physically cutting and gluing text and images together onto a master copy, which can then be photocopied and shared with others. They can be folded, stapled or bound together in different ways. Zines can be a collage of various images, writing, messages and quotes, combining your own sketches or artworks, handwritten text or printed, cut-outs.

What is the content of the workshop?

-Learning to fold up a zine.

-Drawing/writing/sketching/painting/collaging your story or subject into the zine.

-Printing your zine using the unique Japanese Risography printer at Warshagraph.
